Institutional Review Committee
An institutional
review committee (IRC) is an independent ethics committee which applies
reviewing of the methods proposed for research to ensure that they are ethical.
IRC of KISTMCTH was established in the year 2009 under the health research
policy of KISTMCTH. Under the Guidance of national health policy, it formulated
its own Standard Operating Procedure to facilitate the management of research
activities within the KISTMCTH. IRC of KISTMCTH comprises of 13 members from different
background and expertise within the institute. This IRC has been approved from
Nepal health research council since 2009 and is continuously under its
monitoring and supervision thereafter.
IRC meeting: Held
every first Thursday of the month of English calendar.
