Bachelor of Dental Surgery

 

Bachelor of Dental Surgery is a 5.5-year program in Nepal with full-time study of 4 years 6 months, and 1 year of compulsory rotating internships.The dental department of KIST Medical College & Teaching Hopsital is one of the best departments in the nation with a sufficient number of specialists working as full-time faculty.

The department is involved in a rich amalgamation of scientific inquiry and comprehensive dental care service. As the department has three major responsibilities, it offers quality dental care services with utmost comfort to the patients, a rich amalgamation of scientific inquiry and improvement of the dental care service and educate the students for efficient management of the patient and design a good treatment plan utilizing the state-of-the-art material and techniques. The department is also concerned with the promotion of public health.

KISTMC also start its own Postgraduate program (MDS) so the national needs for dental human resources are met in the field of dentistry.
